For 0-3 month old babies, start with 40 stitches and make a neck cut by knitting 15cm long straight stitches without doing anything different until the collar part.
For the shoulders, we knit 10 stitches at the beginning of our needle, then cut 20 stitches and complete the row by knitting 10 more stitches.
We do the stitch cutting in the straight direction of the knitting and add as many stitches as we cut in the next straight direction, that is, we knit 10 stitches, cast 20 stitches and then knit 10 stitches, so the number of stitches becomes 40 again.
By removing stitches around the knitted vest with a cable knitting needle, 10 rows of elastic are knitted as one plain stitch and 1 purl stitch.
